West Indies wins T20 World Cup 2016

West Indies wins ICC T20 World Cup 2016. In a thrilling final, West Indies defeated England by four wickets to lift the ICC World T20 title for the second time here on Sunday. After restricting England at 155 for nine, West Indies reached the target of 161 runs by losing six wickets with two balls to spare. Carlos Brathwaite hammered unbeaten 34 and Marlon Samuels scored 85 not out as they joined in a seventh wicket partnership of 54 runs to reach the target set by England. West Indies had last won the title in 2012.
India's top-order batsman Virat Kohli was named as the men's player of the tournament at the conclusion of the ICC World Twenty20 2016 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 3rd April 2016. This is the second successive time Kohli has won the award, after he was also named as the player of the 2014 tournament in Bangladesh following his 319 runs which helped India reach the final.
