Harish Rawat back as Uttarakhand CM

Cabinet has recommended revocation of President's rule in Uttarakhand.  The decision was taken after the Supreme Court declared the result of the Trust vote in the Uttarkhand assembly, paving the way for Harish Rawat to return as Chief Minister of the state.  Now as per procedure, the cabinet recommendation will go to the President.
The Harish Rawat-led Congress government is all set to resume power in Uttarakhand with the Supreme Court allowing the central government to revoke President's Rule, in view of Harish Rawat's success in proving the majority in the floor test.  A bench led by Justice Dipak Misra accepted Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi's submission that the central government would revoke the President's Rule on Wednesday, to enable Rawat to resume charge as Chief Minister.  The court also declared the result of the floor test that was conducted on Tuesday under supervision of the court-appointed observers in which Rawat secured 33 votes in his favor and 28 against Rawat's counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Kapil Sibal appreciated the government's stand. Congress leader Harish Rawat has said that the state government would take full help from the Centre to fulfill the aspirations of Uttarakhand.
