The President Vidya Devi Bhandari administered oath of office and secrecy to Justice Mishra in Kathmandu. He is the senior-most judge of Supreme Court after Justice Deepak Raj Joshee, whose name was rejected by the PHC on August 3. Justice Mishra holds a master’s degree in Comparative Law from Delhi University. He joined judicial service in 1981 as a section officer and  became Additional District Judge in 1985. Justice Mishra was appointed as a justice of the Supreme Court in 2014.
